Katrina Kaif was Anurag Kashyap’s first choice for Bombay Velvet
Apparently, Katrina was the first choice for Anurag Kashyap’s dream project, Bombay Velvet. “Her screen presence is great and her demand in the industry is increasing by the day. Anurag was considering her for the project first,” reveals a source, adding that even though Katrina liked the project, she could not come on board due to date issues. The role is now being played by Anushka Sharma.
“Katrina has no time in 2013. She has two back-to-back shooting schedules for Dhoom:3 with Aamir Khan and then she will start working on the Knight And Day remake with Hrithik Roshan. Also, a film like Bombay Velvet needs a lot of time and attention. The deal wouldn’t have worked out if her time was limited,” says our source.
Apparently, Anurag also wanted to bring Katrina and the lead actor, Ranbir Kapoor, together in the film as he feels they have great chemistry on screen. The source adds, “In Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani (2009) and Raajneeti (2010), the two were very good. And people want to see a lot more of them together.”

Shahrukh Khan said, "It is a new beginning and I think, that is how we see. All of us, I speak on behalf of Katrina and Anushka that what we are going to do now, is we are going to celebrate the release experience hopefully that we are going to have after watching Jab Tak Hain Jaan."

Katrina Kaif’s bucket list
Most of us who dream big have a list of things to do before we bid adieu to the world and our Bollywood divas are no different. Actor Katrina Kaif who has everything that a girl could ask for — a dream job, fame, money and good looks — is not really satisfied with her current state of affairs as her heart hankers for more.
When quizzed about her wish list, the leggy lass shares the three things she wants to achieve before her time is up. “I want to be a part of a cult movie that will be remembered down the ages, I want to go to Mexico and finally I want to conquer the world,” she says and adds with a mischievous grin, “A girl can always dream and nothing is impossible when you set your heart on it.” She was fortunate to cross out the one wish that topped her bucket list — to work in a Yash Chopra film. This was accomplished by having faith and praying at the Mount Mary church religiously, she reveals.
The only regret Kat has is that the late filmmaker will not be able to witness the final trials of the movie when it releases on Diwali.“I remember Yashji walking up to me and saying that the last schedule in Switzerland for one of the songs would be more like a party. The costume fitting had already been done and 12 chiffon saris by Manish Malhotra were finalised,” she says and adds, “One sequence was supposed to be shot in the water in the freezing cold!”
Speaking about her off-screen camaraderie with Shah Rukh Khan that translated into on-screen chemistry, she says, “SRK is still a gentleman at a time when gentlemanly behaviour has gone out of fashion. Right from standing up when you walk in, to opening the door for you, to wrapping a shawl around you in the freezing cold, these are the small things that can make any woman feel special.” Recalling the first SRK film she watched back home in London, she adds, “Asoka was the first Shah Rukh Khan film that I watched on TV. Even in my dreams I had not imagined that one day I would work with him in a movie.”

Katrina Kaif Film Faces Ban in Pakistan Again!
After Ek Tha Tiger, Katrina's second film of the year, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, which additionally toplines Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma is also likely to be banned in Pakistan.
The Yash Chopra directorial shows Shah Rukh Khan as an Indian army officer fighting in Kashmir, which hasn't gone down well with the authorities in Pakistan (who would probably prefer a film glorifying Kasab mowing down innocent civilians in Mumbai).
The film's trailer was banned from being screened on the Pakistan TV channels.
"The film may get banned in Pakistan because it involves Shah Rukh Khan in an army operation in Kashmir. The trailer too has been stopped from being screened on various TV channels in Pakistan. The movie shows SRK as part of a bomb disposal squad in the Indian Army who is up to some serious action in Kashmir, which may be the reason it might be banned," a source told TOI.
The Kabir Khan directorial, Ek Tha Tiger, headlining Salman Khan and Katrina was banned because Katrina was shown as an ISI agent in the film.
Earlier, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan's Agent Vinod was banned in the country because Kareena was featured as a spy from Pakistan.
Jab Tak Hai Jaan, due for release on November 13, is yet to be presented to the Pakistan censor board.

Sunny Leone can be more dangerous than Katrina Kaif
Everything you ever wanted to know about your favourite Bollywood celeb is, literally, just a click away. Yet, online searches can prove harmful for your computers.
According to a new study in India, tracking Bollywood bombshells like Sunny Leone and Katrina Kaif could prove the most dangerous by tagging along killer viruses.
A recent survey held by Indian software security agency found searches for Sunny Leone recording 9.95 per cent chances of carrying viruses.
A quick search for “Sunny Leone” on Google recorded “about 66,100,000 results”, and Katrina Kaif stood close behind with “about 50,900,000 results”.
Talking to the Indian media, Lubna Markar, senior marketing manager India and South Asia, McAfee, said, “India is a Bollywood-crazy country and cyber criminals use this passion for their criminal activities.”
Katrina Kaif, who topped the list last year, has stepped down to second rank at 8.25 per cent, followed by Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra.
Interestingly, in a list that names only Bollywood beauties, there’s one lone actor who features, and that’s Salman Khan. He stepped in at place 8, one rank above his ex-beau Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
The study carried over two-months had tracked popular search engines like Google, Yahoo! And Bing.
Although some internet users are aware of the threat some of these names carry, the researchers claimed they could never fathom how damaging they could get.
“Any malware infected site can use information for identity theft, monetary fraud, monitoring the user’s activity and even for misuse of the computer as a device that perpetuates other cybercrimes,” Markar was reported telling the media.

Yash Chopra had to shoot Katrina Kaif in chiffon sari: Manish Malhotra
Mumbai: Yash Chopra`s final shot for his last directorial ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ was a song with Katrina Kaif in a chiffon sari at his favourite location - the Swiss Alps, reveals designer Manish Malhotra.

Malhotra, who gave his contemporary touch to the looks of Chopra`s actresses in films like ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’ and ‘Veer-Zaara’, says he would miss him immensely.

Katrina Kaif Delayed For Dhoom 3 Filming By Shah Rukh Khan
Katrina Kaif, who left for Ladakh after attending Salman Khan's Eid bash on Monday, August 20, will not be joining Aamir Khan on the Dhoom 3 set in Chicago as scheduled. Reason being because Shah Rukh Khan has requested Kaif to extend her stay in Ladakh.
Yash Chopra is currently filming for the climax sequence of his untitled romance film.
"Katrina, who left for Ladakh today, was supposed to shoot for two weeks with Shah Rukh and then head to Chicago. But now on SRK's request she's staying back until the first week of September. SRK wants her to be a part of the schedule even when he's shooting solo. That way he feels he would be better able to focus on the complicated scenes," a soiurce told Mumbai Mirror.
Aamir and Katrina have some intense action scenes together, and Aamir had wanted to practice those before facing the camera.
"The original plan was to have Kat and Aamir practice all their stunts together. That's how Aamir willed it. But unfortunately the two never got around to exchanging anything more than courtesies. Now there's no time. When Katrina joins Aamir in Chicago, it's straight for the camera," says the insider.
Dhoom 3 was initially delayed by Aamir Khan's TV show, then him waiting to grow out his hair as he wanted a different look for his role, and then his sister's birthday bash. The delayed schedule ended up clashing, with Katrina needing time to promote her recent release Ek Tha Tiger with Salman Khan.
Fortunately all of the films in question are YRF productions- juggling the dates is being handled without any major problems.

Raajneeti sequel is brilliant: Katrina Kaif
Bollywood Actress Katrina Kaif, who won critical acclaim for her role in the 2010 film Raajneeti, is excited to be part of the movie's sequel. She has a hint of the script, and is looking forward to working with director Prakash Jha again. "There are very few scripts that are genuinely entertaining. Raajneeti is a script which has been worked on for years. I did hear the idea, I think it's a genius and brilliant idea. I really hope everything falls in place. The only thing is most of the characters have been killed in the first part," said Katrina.
Raajneeti, a political thriller, also featured Ajay Devgn, Nana Patekar, Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Manoj Bajpayee and Naseeruddin Shah in pivotal roles.
The 28-year-old actress reveals that Jha is currently busy working on another film with Amitabh Bachchan, but she has had several discussions with him on the sequel.
"It is genuinely a good idea. I find it exciting and I really like the character. Right now, he (Jha) is working on another film called Satyagraha with Amitji (Amitabh Bachchan), but I would love to work with him again.
"With Prakash we had many discussions on the scripts. He has told me the basic story of the film, but not the entire script, so we have time for that," she said.

Katrina Kaif dumps hairdresser
Katrina Kaif is keeping a full calendar these days, what with Ek Tha Tiger’s release next week, and shooting for her next film with Shah Rukh Khan. The first casualty of this hectic schedule has been her hairdresser, Promila Hunter, who has been replaced with a hairstylist from Greece. A source close to the actor reveals that she hadn’t taken Promila on her three-month shooting schedule for Yash Chopra’s untitled film opposite Shah Rukh. “Katrina was shuttling between Bangkok and London, shooting simultaneously and she hired local hairdressers in both cities,” says the source.
Promila has worked with Katrina for some time now, but her age is now keeping her from matching pace with the actor. “Promila has been with her for five to seven years now. She is in her fifties. She was slowing down and was taking a lot of time for simple tasks. It was delaying the shoots, but Katrina was keeping her patience, until now when she has finally given up,” adds the source.
When contacted, an upset Promila reveals: “I will be freelancing now that Katrina will be working with someone else.” She confirms that she was not with the actor during her three-month outdoor shoot abroad. “I didn’t go to London with her as she hired local hairdressers,” she says. Meanwhile, Promila has turned producer with a live action film, Main Krishna Hoon, directed by Rajiv R Ruia, where Katrina and Hrithik Roshan play cameos. But Promila is uncertain whether Katrina will now help her promote the film, since her’s was a guest appearance.
Katrina has now hired a foreign hairstylist, Gabriel, who is from Greece. “He is an efficient hairstylist and Katrina has hired him through an agency. She first met Gabriel at a photo shoot that had happened at YRF. He is very quick and finishes a two-hour job in 15 minutes,” says the source.

Katrina Kaif, mysterious girl: Salman, Ranbir or nobody?
Salman Khan might be playing a man of mystery in about-to-release Ek Tha Tiger
but its co-star Katrina Kaif who's keeping everyone guessing in real
life. Just when we think we know what Katrina's up to, she proves that
we don't.
Last weekend, Katrina was spotted making a late night visit to the home of Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani co-star and ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor. Was she just grabbing a coffee? Were they getting dinner? Were they seeing each other again?
That was Saturday night. How did she spend Thursday night? Hanging out with Alvira Agnihotri and Arpita Khan, her other ex-boyfriend and co-star Salman's sisters.
Then again, Katrina famously gets along like a house on fire with Salman's family so perhaps this just another girls' night out.
But, lest we forget, Katrina is also said to have secretly celebrated her 28th birthday on July 16 with Salman.
So, even as Katrina herself insists she's single, the count stands at one secret outing with Salman and one secret visit to Ranbir's place. Add her evening with Alvira and Arpita to the tally and we'd say it's advantage Salman at the moment.

Katrina has an important role in EK Tha Tiger and also promoted in posters as She tamed the Tiger. She also is the blue eyed girl in YRF camp with New York, Mere Brother ki Dulhan, Ek tha Tiger , SRK Untitled, Dhoom:3 falling to her kitty.
Katrina Kaif’s smart move (not only the dance) to do an item number in the Karan Johar production Agneepath. She didn’t let down her fans and audience when she lit the screen as Chikni Chameli. Also her selection of movies in the recent times shows her seriousness to establish herself as an Actress and performer. Her last 2 movies were also Hits (Mere Brother Ki Dulhan And Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara).made her inroads strong with plump projects in her kitty.
She got true friends as God fathers like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar who have acted with her in many movies and who also rave about her professionalism. Currently she is shooting with Shah Rukh Khan for a YRF venture and news in the media that KATS-SRK want to star in more movies together.

Salman will always be special: Katrina Kaif
Bollywood Actress Katrina Kaif may be winning polls and topping surveys, but the one thing, the actor reveals that she has learnt in the industry is not to take any of them seriously. “They are fun, but I would be a fool to take them seriously.
So when a poll declares me the sexiest or something else I say ‘Well thank you’ but I don’t carry it around my neck,” says Katrina. Close to completing a decade in Bollywood, point out that Kat’s rounding it up with starring opposite the B-Town Khan triumvirate – Aamir, Shah Rukh, Salman – and she says, “I’ve never believed in setting goals for myself here, so when I came in I had not promised myself that by five years I would do this and by 10 I would do that. But yes, there’s always that desire to work with some of the best names in the industry. So in that, it’s not just the Khans, but also other directors including Kabir Khan and actors that I’m glad I have worked with.”
While the actor is working with SRK and Aamir for the first time, her film Ek Tha Tiger has her pairing up with Salman. And this time around, it’s not just Salman’s action, but also the chemistry of the pairing that’s creating more buzz than it ever had in any of their previous films together. So have the two come a long way since their first film together? “Definitely. As an actor I am constantly trying to move forward in terms of performance. With each film you discover one more layer to your art. So yes, in that we’ve come a long way. As for chemistry, well, I think it’s really the first time that we both are romantically paired in a film that’s only about us, so it’s bound to affect the equation between the characters we play,” shares Katrina. The actor also reveals that she doesn’t believe in talks of off screen chemistry versus on screen. “Each film is unique. In Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara I had worked with Hrithik (Roshan) for the first time, I didn’t know him too well personally, but our pairing clicked. So, I don’t see what Salman and my equation off screen has got to do with us on screen,” she quips. That’s on reel, off it, Kat says, “Not just Salman, even his family will always be special and very close to me. Today, we are both in a very comfortable space with each other.”
But talking of Salman, we ask how he’s changed over the years and she affirms, “I think he is more focussed today and at peace.
He’s found his groove and he is doing the kind of films that make him happy. And Ek... is one of them,” says Katrina. As for working with the Khan frenemies, doesn’t it get uncomfortable, considering buzz suggests she is caught in the crossfire of cold vibes between Salman and SRK. “No, not at all. I think both Salman and Shah Rukh are too busy with their own lives to bother about each other. They have moved on and so should we.”
First Ek Tha Tiger then Dhoom 3, action seems to be her genre these days. “It’s Salman who’s doing most of the action in Ek Tha Tiger, though I did try my hand at a few, very few... I would take the credit of doing action when I do a Kill Bill,” smiles Kat.

Katrina Kaif: Salman has become much calmer now
Bollywood Actor Salman Khan, who is back with former girlfriend Katrina Kaif in upcoming release EK THA TIGER, says he still feels young enough to do romantic roles on the screen.
In a recent chat with a TV channel, when Salman was asked whether he feels too old to do romantic films, the actor said: "No, I don't think that I am too old to do romance on screen. The time you can do action you can do romance as well. If you can't do action, there is no romance."
The leading lady of the film, Katrina, also added in the candid chat, that Salman Khan has changed over the years and has become a much calm person now.
"I think he has become much calmer now. Earlier his energy level is to run around, he used to be insane. Though he has calmed down from that, still it is above normal," she said.
The actress also revealed that Salman Khan always had faith that she is surely going to be a big name in the industry.
"He always told me that I am going to be a big in the movies, but I never believed him."
Katrina, who is all set to do films with Aamir Khan (DHOOM 3: Back in Action) and Shahrukh Khan (Yash Chopra's untitled project), said that three Khans' of Bollywood are different in their own way.
"They are different in their own ways. And the similarity between them is that three of them are iconic figures in the Hindi film industry and are respected actors. Their approaches are certainly different."
Katrina added that she expects EK THA TIGER to be a better film in her career than her previous films.

Katrina Kaif, Salman Khan – Best onscreen jodi!
Katrina Kaif, the Barbie doll of Bollywood is one of the leading actresses in tinselville today. We recently conducted a poll on Oneindia, asking which actor will Katrina Kaif look best with. Most readers were of the opinion that Kat looks best with her ex-boyfriend Salman Khan.
Though Katrina might not have had a great start (she made her debut with the 2003 film Boom), her film Ek Tha Tiger opposite Salman Khan is expected to be the biggest blockbuster of 2012. Katrina also has Dhoom 3: Back in Action in the pipeline. What's more, she even has Yash Chopra's untitled project opposite Shahrukh Khan in her kitty.

Katrina Kaif is inspiring: Sunny Leone
In Kolkata, Sunny Leone says her B'wood career wasn't planned
After having been a much visible adult star, how challenging was it for you to reveal something new? Does it hurt your ego that people are apprehensive about your acting talent?
In fact, it was quite easy. I am happy to have got the love and affection from the people. I can't change people's perceptions of me. I am not ashamed of my past. People have, at times, had pre-conceived notions of me. But then, this is my first Indian movie. I had never planned a Bollywood career. How many people get this much of attention when they do their first film? This is a new chapter in my life and I know I am very lucky. Critics have not really torn me into shreds saying that I can't act. I know I have a long way to go but I am happy with the start I've made.
Last year, you did just only one adult movie. This year you have none. Has the craze for porn gone down?
My company produces three to five porn movies a month. I wish to clarify and say that while my company continues to make porn, I have only acted in one last year. This year, I haven't done a single porn film. But there has been no increase or decrease in the interest in porn. It is a billion-dollar industry and continues to be where it was.
How did your hubby react when he first watched a porn movie of yours?
We don't watch movies together. It is my job and he lets do it the way I want to. When he watched me in " Jism 2", he was pleasantly surprised. He had seen bits and pieces of the movie while I was shooting. He loved the story. But it was a different experience for him to see the whole Hindi film. He is my best friend and confidant.
Your character in "Jism 2" got terribly hurt when your partner left you unannounced. Has anyone ever ditched you in real life?
Things have never gone that extreme with me. I am a lover and not a fighter in a relationship. I understand that if a relationship is not working, one has to move forward. But I can never think of taking revenge.
Do you ever get tired of this sexy image? Ever want to revamp it?
Every single person is sexy in their own way. It's interesting to play different roles. It all depends on the package.
Would you ever want to play a rustic character where you don't need to shed clothes at all?
I would love to play characters where I need to sing and dance. I don't mind a rural belle. Your voice got dubbed by Smita Malhotra despite you claiming to have learnt Hindi.
Are you looking at Katrina for inspiration now that Salman says she speaks as good Hindi as anyone else?
I can continue with general conversations but doing a full-fledged interview in Hindi is difficult. Once I go back to the US, I'll continue with my Hindi diction and dance classes. There are lots of people who are outsiders in the industry. There just can't be any excuses for not delivering well. Katrina is definitely inspiring.
While once there were objections to the "Jism 2" posters from NCP and now a member of the same party wants you to attend a dahi handi function! How do you deal with hypocrisy?
It wasn't me in the posters. There will always be detractors who will tear down posters and some others who will put up others. I don't think the protests had anything to do with me. As far as I am concerned, I won't be attending the dahi handi festival.
What tastes sweetest for you?
Success tastes sweet. I am more than happy with the way my fans have showered their love and affection on me. That sure tastes good.

Guess whom Katrina Kaif’s kissing goodbye?
Katrina Kaif is at the top of her game in Bollywood, working with all three reigning Khans in three different films produced by Yash Raj Films – with Shah Rukh Khan in the untitled film directed by the legendary Yash Chopra himself, with Salman Khan in Ek Tha Tiger directed by Kabir Khan and with Aamir Khan in Dhoom 3 directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya.
On Monday night, Katrina went out for dinner with Salman Khan’s sister, Alvira Agnihotri, who she is very fond of, to Olive in Bandra and spent a quiet evening with her, away from promotional activities for Ek Tha Tiger and the arc lights and makeup.
Katrina has hardly been in the city given her hectic filming schedules from London to Cuba to Turkey for her various projects. And when she is in the city, she spends time with Salman’s family and her friend, Ranbir Kapoor, who she caught up with last Saturday night in the wee hours at his home, Krishna Raj, though she does keep playing the “I’m single” line on loop.
She is set to leave for Chicago to commence filming for Dhoom 3 later this month. Aamir Khan has already begun his work in the film, having left on Sunday night with wife Kiran and son Azad for the extensive outdoor.

Exclusive: I am not responsible for Katrina’s success, says Salman Khan
Mumbai: Not too long ago, Katrina Kaif had said that she doesn’t owe her success solely to Salman Khan. And the former beau of the beauty seems to be agreeing to her. Salman Khan said Katrina Kaif is what she is because of her hard work and that he doesn’t feel he has contributed any bit to Katrina’s success. However, the actress did admit that she credits Salman a lot for helping her evolve as a human being.
Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif spoke exclusively to Sudhir Chaudhry, Business Head and Editor, Zee News about their latest film ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, slated to release on August 15.
On being asked about their pairing in the film, Katrina said that if the audiences like to see them play on screen lovers, then, “it’s a good thing for the film.” Katrina said that she has learnt a lot from Salman by observing him on the sets and calls him the “protector”.
The script of ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ appealed to Salman Khan so much that he didn’t have to contemplate before signing the film.
Salman, who is often called Katrina’s mentor, was modest enough to admit that many filmmakers who cast her in their films are equally responsible for Katrina’s success.

Salman Khan And Katrina Kaif look wonderful together says Shah Rukh Khan
They may not be on talking terms but Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan doesn't shy away from heaping praise on arch-rival Salman Khan. And this time it is for Salman's forthcoming film "Ek Tha Tiger".
Asked what does he have to say about Salman and Katrina Kaif's chemistry in the film, Shah Rukh said: "It is very nice they have done few movies together. I think chemistry is a too deeper word... media has created it. Kajol and I always had this issue, 'what is this chemistry?' It has taken me years to understand what this means."
However, Shah Rukh added that Salman-Katrina look wonderful together and even wished them luck for their film.
"I don't know about the chemistry but it looks like a wonderful pair. I wish them all the luck," he said during an event.
After Salman, Katrina will be seen with Shah Rukh in an untitled project directed by Yash Chopra. The film also features Anushka Sharma.
